Dishday is a meal planning, recipe, grocery list, and AI-assisted food application.

We do not store passwords in plain text.
Food, Recipe, and Preference Data
To provide app functionality, we may collect or store:
- Saved recipes
- Recipe photos
- Pantry items
- Shopping lists
- Meal plans
- Cooking preferences
- Cuisine preferences
- Cooking level
- Cooking time preferences
- Dietary preferences or food restrictions, such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, low-carb, or similar preferences
Some dietary preferences may be considered health-related information in certain jurisdictions. Dishday uses this information only to provide app functionality and personalize food-related features.
User Content

- Voice input transcriptions
Voice input is processed as recognized text. We do not intentionally store raw audio recordings on our servers.
Recipe Import Features
Dishday allows users to import recipe links and publicly available recipe content from third-party websites and platforms for personal use inside the App.
Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use imported content.
Dishday does not claim ownership over third-party recipe content. Ownership and copyrights remain with the original creators and publishers.
When available, source attribution and original links are preserved.
AI Processing Data
Dishday includes AI-powered features for:
- Product recognition
- Recipe import
- Recipe processing
- Meal recommendations
- Cooking assistance
- AI chat
- Content generation
When you use AI features, the following data may be processed by our backend and AI providers:
- Text you enter
- Recognized speech text
- Uploaded photos
- Recipe content
- Recipe URLs
- Food preferences
- Dietary preferences or restrictions
Authentication tokens may be processed to verify authorized requests.
We do not intentionally send payment information to AI providers.
AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, incomplete information, or unsuitable recommendations. You should independently verify ingredients, allergens, cooking instructions, nutrition information, and dietary suitability before relying on AI-generated results.
Dishday does not provide medical, dietary, or professional nutritional advice.
Purchase Information
If you purchase a subscription, we may process:
- Subscription status
- Subscription plan type
- Purchase status
- Apple transaction or entitlement information
Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive payment card numbers or banking information.

According to OpenAI API policies, API data is not used to train OpenAI models unless explicitly opted into by the API account owner.
AI providers may temporarily retain data for abuse monitoring and security purposes according to their own policies.

AI requests may pass through our backend or proxy infrastructure for:

5. Food, Nutrition, Allergy, and Health Disclaimer
Dishday is not a medical application and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Recipes, ingredient recognition, nutrition estimates, allergen detection, calorie information, dietary recommendations, and AI-generated food information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your needs.
You are responsible for independently verifying:
- Ingredients
- Allergens
- Food safety
- Cooking temperatures
- Nutrition information
- Dietary suitability
If you have allergies, medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or health concerns, consult a qualified professional before relying on app content.
6. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13 years old, or under 16 where required by local law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Data Retention
We retain user data while accounts remain active and as necessary to provide Services.
If you delete your account, we will request deletion of associated user data.
Some information may be retained for limited periods for:

- Fraud prevention

AI request data is not intentionally stored longer than necessary unless content is explicitly saved by the user inside the App.

Dishday currently does not use:

We do not sell personal data.

13. Push Notifications
If enabled, Dishday may send reminders related to:

Notifications can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings.

If material changes occur, we may notify users through the App or by updating the effective date above.
The latest version will always be available through the App and associated Privacy Policy URL.
